Finally, had some time to finish attaching the second set of gunwales. Here’s how it looks:
The picture also shows the bottom sanded, ready to received another fill coat of epoxy. In the course of the work, I trimmed up the bow, but now I’m not sure I like the result:
The bottom of the bow (the top of the picture – remember, the boat’s upside down) seems wide and blunt. An outer stem is needed – and some fairing.
While I was at it, I dropped out the temporary frames. When I turn the boat over, it should look something like Ross Lillistone’s Mayfly.
